Manhattan Midcentury Mod

It's no secret that I love the Midcentury Modern style.  I recently attended a cocktail party in Battery Park City which was hosted by a former colleague now friend from my Martha days.  The party was, well, very Martha indeed.  From the gourmet snacks to the homemade cupcakes to the specialty drinks, it was fabulous as is the hostess.

I had the hostess send me a few photos post-party of the apartment because I love the space and her style.  Steph and Eric live with their two young boys in this apartment - completely adorable and hilarious little boys.  There is a definitive line between space for adults and space for kids.  They created these spaces by combining the apartment next door to them.  Oh, what a classic New York story.

These photos show the space and how she used it.  What you don't see is the gorgeous frosted glass pocket doors to close off the kids' rooms and the bathrooms.  Uh, the bathrooms are stuff dreams are made of...  And the view of the new Freedom Tower will be stunning.
